Sighting of the Week 8/17

Get excited, because today's Sighting of the Week is actually two. I feel compelled to give you two because I wasn't able to snap a picture of either of them, which you will regret once you have read them...

(1) A couple friends and I were fishing at the river. After a while we had all caught at least one fish except for this one friend, who I'll call Victoria. She was determined to catch something, so she casts in, and thirty seconds later is pulling in a... turtle! That's right, not bass, not catfish, turtle. It was about 10-12 inches in diameter and pretty awesome.

(2) Just yesterday I was on a shopping trip out in a parking lot when I saw a column of smoke rising up a few cars away. On further investigation, I realized that an engine was on fire. A firetruck came and everything! It stank really bad, though. People all over were taking pictures, it was quite a sight. Unfortunately niether my phone nor my camera was on me, so I am left with a story...
